Volunteer and parade registration now open for annual Santa Claus Parade
(Fort McMurray, AB – November 1, 2019) -Volunteer and parade registration are now open for the annual Santa Claus Parade on December 7.
Become one of Santa’s Elves and volunteer for the best seat in the house. Volunteers are needed to make the parade a success. Register to walk, ride or drive in the parade as registration fills up quickly. The Municipality has updated the rules and regulations for this year’s parade. This year there is a heavy focus on safety, and parade entries must meet all the requirements.
“We want everyone to enjoy the parade safely,” said coordinator Roxane Andras. “This means spectators must remain on the sidewalk at all times, and people in and on vehicles must follow safety regulations.”
Parade entry registration closes Nov. 22 and volunteer registration closes Dec. 5.
The parade route has changed and will now start on Riedel Street, travel north on Franklin Avenue and end on Main Street. Check out the map, register to volunteer, submit a parade entry or learn more about holiday festivities in Wood Buffalo, visit rmwb.ca/santa.
