Fort McMurray Urban Market season begins on June 12
(Fort McMurray, AB – June 10, 2019) – The Fort McMurray Urban Market is back for another great season!
This year the Urban Market tradition will continue with vendors selling delicious produce, meats, and baking alongside beautiful, handmade gift items and so much more! The Urban Market is conveniently open for lunch at 11 a.m. and closes at 6 p.m. to ensure shoppers can enjoy the market at their chosen time.
One significant change for the market this year is the move to weekly themed markets from the previous bi-weekly format. This year the Urban Market will take place weekly from June until August, with the first market date on June 12.
“I love checking out the Market each week and seeing all the different vendors,” said Mike Jones, Community Committee Member. “You never know what you’re going to find! Plus, who doesn’t love picking up some great healthy fresh food and enjoying some live entertainment at the same time?”
On July 24, the Urban Market will partner with the Fort McMurray Food Festival’s YMM Street Party for a unique market experience, while on August 14 the Market partners with the “Vocal About Local” initiative with a special focus on local vendors.
