(Fort McMurray, AB – May 24, 2019) – Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo Victim Services in collaboration with the Department of Justice Canada invites the public in honouring Victims and Survivors of Crime Week with a dedication of a new park bench at Snye Park, followed by a light brunch. The dedication will be addressed by local dignitaries as well as from a survivor of crime.

The national theme of this year’s Crime Week is “The Power of Collaboration’ and is aimed to acknowledge service providers dedicated to assisting victims and survivors of crime as well as their families.

Crime Week raises awareness of the issues faced by victims and survivors of crime and about the services, assistance, and laws in place to help them and their families.

  • Date: Friday, May 31, 2019
  • Time: 10:30 a.m.
  • Location: Snye Park, Fort McMurray

If you wish to attend to the brunch, please RSVP at 780-788-4245 by 3:30 p.m. Monday, May 27, 2019.
