Vendors welcomed to apply for Fort McMurray Urban Market 2019 season

(1 Vote)

(Fort McMurray, AB – March 25, 2019) – As the Fort McMurray Urban Market prepares to celebrate its 7th annual market season, vendors are welcomed to submit applications to sell their homegrown or handmade goods at these popular markets.

The Urban Market is a registered Alberta Farmers Market, meaning that 80 per cent of vendors make, bake or grow their products in Alberta. A vendor information session will be held at McMurray Experience on May 15 at 5:30 p.m. The session will guide interested and returning vendors through the application process, rules and regulations, as well as offer suggestions on how to be a successful vendor. Vendors are welcome to attend all ten markets or a select few, dependent on their preference, and are encouraged to apply early to participate.

“The Fort McMurray Urban Market has proven to be a popular annual market in our community. In conjunction with a second market taking place this summer, we are looking forward to having even more opportunities to bring products, events and activities to the downtown core,” said Recreation & Culture Coordinator, Arndis Arnold. “We encourage and welcome anyone who is interested in selling their goods to apply to be a vendor.”

The market is guided by the Fort McMurray Urban Market Community Committee, made up of nine (9) organizations, who collaborate and advise to ensure a well-rounded and strong market community. The committee works in partnership to guarantee the long-term success of the market.

Prospective vendors can find application forms and information such as booth pricing and insurance requirements at rmwb.ca/urbanmarket.
