WinterPLAY site preparation at Snye Park underway

Site preparation for the annual WinterPLAY Festival at Snye Park is underway. Snye Park will remain accessible and open to the public during this phase of site preparation. Residents are advised to exercise caution and obey all posted signage for their safety and the safety of municipal workers while visiting the Snye.

The section of the Clearwater River located in front of Snye Park, commonly referred to as the Snye River, is closed to the public. Access to the Clearwater River from Snye Point will remain open. Further updates on site preparation and access to Snye Park will be provided as progress continues. 

The annual WinterPLAY Festival takes place from Feb. 22 – 24. Residents and visitors are invited to celebrate the magic of winter with neighbours, friends, and family during the three-day festival. WinterPLAY features family-friendly activities, a pond hockey tournament, local entertainment, ice sculptures, tasty treats, fireworks and more. A full schedule of events will be released shortly.

Residents can get involved with WinterPLAY by registering a team in the Shootout on the Snye pond hockey tournament, signing up for the Talent Show or by volunteering to lend a helping hand over the course of the weekend.
