United Way Announces 2018 Campaign Total
The United Way Fort McMurray and Wood Buffalo announced on Thursday, January 10th their 2018 Community Campaign total of $4.6 million.
"To be able to raise this much at this time is incredible! We have amazing support from our community.” said Steve Yatauro, President of the United Way Board of Directors.
The Community Campaign kicked off on September 7th and ran to the end of December. Through that time it saw exceptional commitment from hundreds of individuals across the community, both as volunteers and donors.
"I'm overwhelmed by the enthusiasm of our volunteers, staff and community in ensuring the success of this campaign,” said Ken Sandmoen, Campaign Chair, “It has been fantastic!"
Funds raised from the FMWB United Way’s Community Campaign will help to build a strong and caring community, where everyone has the opportunity to live a good life.
“On behalf of the United Way Board of Directors, staff and partner agencies, I would like to give a heartfelt thank you to our community for continuing to show your confidence in us to be able to do local good in the region." said Yatauro.
