Time to put up the holiday lights! Nominate Your Neighbour and Business Beautification winter programs underway

Wood Buffalo Communities in Bloom is encouraging residents and businesses to decorate their home or storefront this holiday season through the Nominate Your Neighbour and the Business Beautification Program.

“Nominate Your Neighbour and the Business Beatification Program are great ways to showcase the festive spirit in our region, while recognizing individuals and businesses that go above and beyond to brighten our community.” said Qasim Malik, Wood Buffalo Communities in Bloom committee member.

The Nominate Your Neighbour Program provides an opportunity for residents to recognize homes for their outstanding light displays, festive decorations and overall efforts to spread the holiday spirit in our community.

You may ‘Nominate Your Neighbour’ online at rmwb.ca/nyn until December 15, 2018.

Local business are also encouraged to spread the holiday spirit by participating in the Business Beautification Program. In celebration of the holiday season, all businesses are encouraged to register in the program and festively decorate their storefront before the Santa Claus Parade on December 1 . An online vote will be held after registration closes to determine Wood Buffalo’s most festive local business.

“A festively decorated storefront not only promotes a positive image of your business, it brightens our community and appeals to prospective and current customers,” said Qasim Malik, Wood Buffalo Communities in Bloom committee member.

Registration for the Business Beautification Program can be done online at rmwb.ca/BBP until December 1, 2018.
