Nominate Your Neighbour and Business Beautification summer programs are underway
Wood Buffalo Communities in Bloom is encouraging residents and businesses to beautify their home or storefront through the Nominate Your Neighbour and Business Beautification programs.
The Nominate Your Neighbour Program is an opportunity for residents to recognize homes for their vibrant landscapes, floral displays, and overall efforts to brighten our community. This year the program is running in collaboration with the Scotts Canada’s Miracle-Gro Best Garden Program. Winning residents will receive a Miracle-Gro gift package and have photos of their gardens featured by Communities in Bloom and Scotts Canada.
“We’re looking for residents to nominate homes that have taken that little extra effort to beautify their neighbourhood.” said Deanne Tomlinson, Chair of the Wood Buffalo Communities in Bloom Committee.
Nominations for The Nominate Your Neighbour Program will be accepted online at rmwb.ca/NYN until Aug 15th, 2018.
Businesses are also encouraged to help brighten our community by participating in the Business Beautification Program. Local businesses must register in the program, then beautify, keep, and maintain their storefront. The winning business will be selected by an online vote.
“An attractive storefront not only promotes a positive image of your business, it brightens our community and appeals to prospective and current customers.” Said Deanne Tomlinson.
Registration for the Business Beautification Program can be done online at rmwb.ca/BBP until July 13th, 2018.
