Call for artists: Spring-inspired artwork wanted for Art in Motion
The municipality is accepting art submissions inspired by the theme “Spring Thing” for the next installation of Art in Motion.
“‘Spring Thing’ is a theme that invites creative individuals to think about what the season means to them,” said Dave Stearman, Community Strategies Coordinator. “It’s a time of refreshment and renewal in the community, so this opportunity encourages residents to express themselves through art”.
Submit your artwork by April 25, 2018 for the opportunity to have it displayed in the Art in Motion rotating showcase. Submissions can range from visual arts such as photography, drawing or painting, to three-dimensional pieces including pottery, sculptures, memorabilia or artifacts.
The exhibition of selected pieces will be open for public viewing in May.
Art in Motion is a dynamic and moving community art gallery located in the McMurray Experience at Jubilee Plaza, 9909 Franklin Ave., Fort McMurray. Visit www.rmwb.ca/artinmotion for more information and to make a submission.
