Class of 2021
Real estate agent Paige Cyr, who lives by the words “Yesterday is HISTORY, tomorrow is a MYSTERY, but today is a GIFT” volunteers her time as Vice President of Wood Buffalo Animal Rescue, as well as with the Boys and Girls Club and other organizations in the region.
She recently sat down with YMM and spoke about success, and the perfect day in YMM.
YMM: What is the biggest risk you’ve ever taken?
PC: Packing up my car and driving to Fort McMurray when I was only 19-years-old with no plans, just the ambition to start a new life.
YMM: What would you say to your 10-year-old self?
PC: Your life will be better than you could dream of, just never give up on yourself. You’re meant to do big things, always trust your gut and you’ll get there.
YMM: What is the best advice you have ever received?
PC: You can do absolutely anything you set your mind to.
YMM: How should success be measured?
PC: In your ability to help others. Once your cup is full it will overflow into others’ and that’s the most rewarding feeling.
YMM: For what are you most grateful?
PC: My people: My husband, grandma, mom and sister. I wouldn’t be where I am today without them.
YMM: Describe your perfect day in YMM.
PC: Brunch at the Fort McMurray Golf Club/Bear and Buffalo. Walking the beautiful trails with my husband and dogs. Dinner on a patio with my closest friends. Stargazing around a fire to end the night!
