Eden Boutilier

30 Years Old

Class of 2021

If there’s a community event happening, there’s a good chance Eden Boutilier is involved.

Currently employed by the Wood Buffalo 2023 Arctic Winter Games, she lives by the words, “Everything is figure-out-able”. She recently sat down with YMM and chatted about the three C’s that describe her, and lots more!

YMM: What three words best describe you?

EB: Creative – I often tell people “Don’t worry, I can see it already” and take a lot of pride in bringing that creativity to life. I don’t like to do the same thing twice and I’m always up for trying something new. Confident – Everything is figure-out-able and I can figure anything out with the right resources. I’m worthy of sitting at all tables and experiencing all life has to offer. Caring – People make every experience better. I pride myself in being a great friend and very loyal to those around me, that is how I show I care.

YMM: What would you say to your 10-year-old self?

EB: When you are younger there are going to be situations in life where you will have to prove yourself, but never see that as a reason to change anything about yourself. Sometimes you won’t be the package that someone thinks the opportunity will come in or that the message will come from, but that is their lesson to learn, not your reason to change.

YMM: What accomplishments are you most proud of?

EB: In 2012 and in 2015 I represented Canada at international pageants. Surrounding yourself by driven, like-minded and inspiring women truly helps the trajectory of your life and the goals you set for yourself. These experiences were not only accomplishments themselves, but have helped the direction of my life and put me on the path to achieve much more.

YMM: How should success be measured?

EB: Success is measured by the confidence you establish within yourself. If you use every opportunity to also grow personally then you will be successful at everything you do in life.
