December is the month, the 16th and 17th are the days.  The party’s on from 9am-6pm, so that’s when we’ll play! You’re off to great places, it’s true, it’s true! We want to celebrate this holiday season with you!

Step up sponsors, big or small.  We have opportunities to share with you all!  Join the high fliers, who soar to high heights.  Giving back to our community, that is what’s right!

We’ll need volunteers, so come one, come all.  Our contact info is below, no need to search at all!

We are a non-profit, it’s true, it’s true.  Helping children and youth, it’s just what we do!

Behind the Scenes with the Fort McMurray Boys & Girls Club

The Fort McMurray Boys & Girls Club (FMBGC) is a non-profit agency and a registered charity.  The Club has been serving the children and youth of Fort McMurray since 1981 by providing a safe and fun place to learn, play and grow.

Our expert staff offer guidance, care and mentoring for children aged one to 18. Our mission is “To provide a safe, supportive place where children and youth can experience new opportunities, overcome barriers, build positive relationships and develop confidence and skills for life”.

Our childcare programs are licensed, accredited and certified for inclusive care.  Although Boys & Girls Clubs provide lower cost childcare options and financial assistance where available, they are open to all individuals seeking quality care.

The FMBGC’s main programs are:

Tiny Toes Daycare: For children aged 12 months to Kindergarten (contact Erika, tinytoes@fmbgc.ca)

ZAP Out of School Care and Camps: For children aged 4.5 to 12 (contact Grace, zap@fmbg.ca)

Limitless Youth: Inclusive youth programs for youth aged 13-17 (contact Ashley, youth@fmbgc.ca)

What does the FMBGC do?

Our Club Instills Values. Strong core values guide us in our work and teach our kids the importance of mutual respect, teamwork and being socially responsible.

Available and Affordable. The FMBGC are accessible and affordable.  The Club is open weekdays, after school, and occasionally on evenings and weekends.

Connected to Community Needs. The FMBGC is at the heart of our community.  We create programs that address the unique needs of children and youth in our region.

Professional Staff and Dedicated Volunteers. The FMBGC is staffed by experienced professionals trained in child development.  Our volunteers assist Club staff in providing positive role models for children and youth while engaging in programming, events, and activities throughout the year.
