Surekha’s on the Snye is a unique, one-of-kind place because of its location at the Snye Point Park by the Snye River. Throughout the decades, its backdrop has been the setting for many prominent moments in local history. The historical settlement was once home to Métis people, and later became the central hub for floatplanes to deliver airmail service to the region.

As for Surekha’s, it opened last summer – three years following the Park’s grand opening in 2015. And it’s the first eatery in Fort McMurray to sit alongside the Clearwater River, which makes it a prime spot for residents to check-in when exploring the riverside and outdoors.

Families and friends enjoy the boutique café’s patio most because they can sit and take in the views of their children playing at the outdoor playground, people playing volleyball in the sand, dog walkers on a stroll and boaters taking a ride through the waterways. There’s no other place that offers such serenity and scenery.
