They have names like shawarma, gyro and doner kebabs, but most Canadians call them donairs – and at PK’s Corner Pizza, residents say they have the best. The extra ingredients of lettuce, tomato, onion and cheese may seem like basics. But add the special spiced ground beef, PK’s sweet sauce, and their incredible service, and you have one tasty donair.

The location is a hidden gem tucked inside the Petro Canada by the Stonecreek commercial complex and was opened by the Kalogirou family in the fall of 2010. But throughout the almost-a-decade of service, the take-out counter turned into a grab-a-go mini-restaurant and have maximized their menu with not only their popular donairs but also subs, salads, chicken, pizza, taquitos, cake slices and breakfast sandwiches.

PK’s also offers free delivery services to residents in the Fort McMurray area with a minimum $20 purchase, but it may be worth popping in to see the place first-hand as it has a must-see photo on its wall – it’s an autographed photo from Seinfeld’s famous eponymous character, Yev Kassem aka the Soup Nazi.
