Avenue Coffee

Bay 5 – 8102 Fraser Avenue, 780-750-2600

The caffeine addiction lives strong at Avenue Coffee because this café has a way of making you feel proud of your cup of Joe. When your latte comes served with caramelized art on its foam topping, it adds that Instagram-worthy extra to make it deserving of every nickel spent.

As for its urbanized interior, Avenue’s rustic design was inspired by the father-and-son businessmen of LIAM Construction, after the two took a trip into a coffee shop in Phoenix, Arizona.

Upon entering the espresso haven, you will see a large bench made of reclaimed wood resting alongside window panes. Settled in front of the bench are movable tabletops and chairs, which makes it hard to tell if one has come in solo for a latte among the crowded room.

For those who want to escape the open - and often whimsical - coffee conversations, they can explore the backroom, the room with the barn-sized sliding door. It’s a more subtle spot to host business breakdowns and one-on-ones with colleagues and friends.

Overall, Avenue’s spacious warehouse-like vibe makes it an ideal workspace, friendship space, everything place – all while drinking your preferred hot brew.
