Homeless Connect - Letter to Donors
Greetings,
Today we are excited to share with you this opportunity to participate in a Homeless Connect event held at MacDonald Island Park on Tuesday, October 20, 2015 from 9 a.m. to 3 pm. As part of the RMWB’s Housing First Initiative the Housing First partners in this community are hosting an annual event to connect homeless, near homeless and recently housed individuals to a variety of service providers.
We are encouraging various agencies and businesses in the Wood Buffalo Region to have a booth to deliver awareness of the services available to these individuals and families within the municipality.
Upon arrival each attendee will be given a back pack and a passport card. They would then visit with the various Service Providers where they would receive helpful information, be given an item to place in their backpack and have their passport card stamped. By the end of the event each attendee will be equipped with much needed information and items to help prepare them for the winter. Once the passport is complete it would then become a ballot for draw prizes.
We would like you to be one of the community donors for this event and are requesting for a donation of one type of item to add to the 100 backpacks, as well as door prizes from the list below:

- Scarves / Socks / Toques
