Multicultural McMurray
Much of what makes our region so beautiful comes from the different cultures represented here. According to the 2012 Municipal Census, Asia, the Middle East, Africa, the Americas, the Caribbean, Europe and Oceania are all well represented by people who now call Fort McMurray home.
When out and about in the community you might hear languages other than English... French, Hindi, Chinese and Spanish are the other top primary languages spoken in our community. And the sights? Just take a look at this photographic celebration of some of the many cultural treasures Wood Buffalo residents can sample at festivals, galleries, and recitals throughout the year.
