2019 Your McMurray Magazine’s Top 50 Under 50
At Balsom Communications, we are passionate storytellers. So when it comes time to share the stories of our Top 50 Under 50 with you, we get really excited.
This is a group of extraordinary people. Many of them would dispute that; most are so humbled that if asked why they think they were nominated, they sincerely don’t know. Having the opportunity to meet with each person, to hear their stories, to usher them into the distinguished group of Your McMurray Magazine’s Top 50 Under 50 is something that we consider an honour, and something that brings us joy.
These individuals all have something that sets them apart. For some it’s grit; for others it’s talent. For some it’s dedication; for others it’s something that’s hard to put our finger on, but it’s definitely something.
The neat thing about our selection process is that each person has been chosen by a panel of community members. Hours are spent deliberating and narrowing down the list. These people have been chosen by a group of people who all agree: each and every one of our Top 50 deserves the recognition. You’ll notice the list is in random order; they are in no way ranked.
Our community is full of outstanding individuals, so this list truly could be so much longer. If you would like to nominate someone for the Top 50 Under 50 Class of 2020, please email kerri@balsom.ca. While the recipients are selected by the panel, all nominees are given consideration.

As we mentioned at the beginning of this feature, the process of selecting each year’s Top 50 Under 50 is not an easy one. Narrowed down after hours of deliberation by a dedicated volunteer panel of peers, this list is a result of much discussion and debate.
