We’re putting Fort McMurray’s best entertainers, singer/songwriters, musicians and performers all on one stage for one weekend!  Come to the Sound Force Collective stage at WinterPLAY during the 2018 Alberta Winter Games to check out a showcase of our community’s artistic side!  From February 16 to 18, the stage will feature the favourites like Dan Tulk and Matty Parlee, emerging Youth Voices WB artists like Shekinah Sarfi and Jordan Cree, and the District Recording Studios musicians like Willi and Genoveve Whiston.  We’ll have a drum off, a dance off, and a DJ spinning tunes all weekend long!  And in true 91.1 The Bridge fashion – we’ll have a few surprises up our sleeves as well!

Youth Voice’s WB artists responded to the question ‘What would make your community better’ in song.  You can hear their answers when Shekinah Sarfi, Jordan Cree and Keely Pye take the stage!

Matty Parlee is a musician from the East Coast and has been performing for 15 years!  His hilarious stage antics, perfect pitch and songs will rekindle your 90s nostalgia with a present day charm.  He is so excited to be a part of this event in our city!

Born and raised on the East Coast of Newfoundland, Dan Tulk began playing in his first bands at the age of 16. By his early 20’s he was busy gigging and teaching music on the East Coast performing with national jazz recording artist Lloyd Bartlett.  By 2003, he had moved to St. John’s and played with band in the city for a few years.   After finishing university, he travelled and played abroad, prior to making his home in Fort McMurray in 2008. He has been performing in the region since then and is excited to warm up your evening with his toe tapping acoustic rock tunes.

Singer/songwriters Willi and Genoveve Whiston moved to Fort McMurray in August of last year and are loving the community.  With an acoustic guitar, Willi’s low soothing voice and Genoveve’s sweet harmonies they are sure to put a warm smile on your face and are excited to share some of their originals and covers with you.
