Fort Mac Hand Crafted Market

(0 votes)

FORT MAC HAND CRAFTED MARKET is a craft fair that pops up monthly on the first Saturday, except in July and August when a few extra summer events are happening! All of our regular markets have a local photographer snapping pictures in a mini studio. We also have a growing kids area with giant bowling, craft table, and sometimes face paint and balloon animals. Don’t miss these great opportunities to find that something special here in YMM!

Alberta Culture Days at Mac Island featuring Etsy September 27 & 28

Made In Canada, a national initiative created by Etsy and to celebrate crafters, collectors and local communities across Canada. This is the first time ever Etsy Canada has made something like this and it’s a pretty exciting time to be part of this community! There is going to be a big party going on all over Canada where Etsy sellers will come together to make craft shows and pop-up shops all over the place and of course, Fort McMurray is among them!

As part of our two Culture Days markets, we’ll also be putting together three activity areas. Got Craft? All Ages Craft and Play Area will be an unstructured space for crafting of all types. A wide variety of supplies and tools will be provided along with some suggestions and samples. You can take what you make home with you or leave it behind as inspiration for someone else. Craft Party is a more structured workshop area where we’ll have volunteers demonstrating and sharing crafts and techniques. Finally, our Craft Leisure Circle will have yarn, needles and hooks, a sewing machine, fabric, and scrapbooking materials and tools. Everything you need for a relaxing hour or two of working on a project.
