YOUR MCMURRAY MAGAZINE, or YMM, is Fort McMurray’s brightest magazine publication offering local content to the residents who call this region home and an opportunity for local businesses to get their message heard. Now in it’s fourth volume, with fun and exciting content, local advertising, and fantastic local talent being featured, it is something everyone who lives, works and plays here can truly call their own.
Fort McMurray is known as Canada’s economic engine and it is no surprise to the businesses and people who live here everyday. In 2013, Alberta Venture Magazine put Wood Buffalo in the number one spot as the best community for business, and in 2011, is was named the second best resource community in Western Canada. What makes YMM really unique however are those residents of the region who have incomes 95% higher than the national average. Fort McMurray is truly a fantastic place for business and an even more fantastic place to live and call home.
The bold, innovative and energetic residents have high discretionary income and live in a fast-growing commercial and residential hub within the Municipality that is expected to more than double in population, reaching over 230,000 people by the year 2030.
Advertising in YMM gives the advertiser an opportunity to reach out to a broad local audience, as well as those who visit and spread the message across the country and world. With a wide, varied and unique distribution, YMM will reach a captive and willing audience, and with over 20,000 copies in distribution throughout the region it will also reach a diverse, affluent group of buyers, sellers and job-seekers.
