On behalf of the Host Community Board of Directors - It is with great pride that we welcome you to the 2018 Wood Buffalo Alberta Winter Games. This multisport event is a prime example of using sport as a vehicle to enhance the lives of Albertans within our region and province-wide; we are thrilled to be your host.
Participants: While you were putting in hours at the gym, on the court, in the rink and more, we were preparing the Region for your arrival. Your hardwork and dedication to your sport does not go unnoticed, we commend you for your commitment and admire your determination.
Visitors: Regardless if you are new to or familiar with our amazing community, we hope you get to know all we have to offer during your time here. Please enjoy our venues and festivities. We aim to have you treated with the utmost hospitality during your stay here and we hope to see you again.
Local Community Members: Thank-you for your ongoing support of the Games and your continued commitment to volunteerism in our community. You are the backbone of making this event a reality and we couldn’t be more proud of how this community has come together to welcome the province.
