On behalf of the Government of Alberta, welcome to the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo as you participate in the 2018 Alberta Winter Games.
Alberta’s young athletes represent the future of sport in our province. You have all worked incredibly hard to earn the honour of representing your region at these games. The perseverance and commitment you have shown will serve you well not only in your dedicated sport, but also throughout your entire life.
Events like the Alberta Winter Games contribute greatly to our province’s quality of life, and inspire all Albertans to engage in winter activities to lead healthy, active lives. These games are also an excellent opportunity for our athletes to showcase their skills, challenge their own personal bests, and create lifelong memories.
Special thanks to the supportive families, friends, volunteers, and organizers who create a wonderful 2018 Alberta Winter Games experience. Your energy and enthusiasm has helped make a memorable experience for both athletes and spectators.
